Taming Frizzy Hair with 5 Drops of Oil: A Haircare Journey

Hey there, fellow frizz fighters and hair enthusiasts! Today, let’s dive into the wild world of haircare, specifically the delightful rollercoaster ride I’ve been on with my unruly, frizzy mane since the dawn of time (well, at least since I can remember).

Picture this: as a kid, my hair wasn’t just frizzy—it was practically a halo of flyaways that could rival Einstein’s. I tried everything along the way : Yogurt, bananas (:-D), honey, any molecule of hydration I could find. How about looking like you have wrestled with a balloon along the way and emerged victorious but with lots of pokey hair? You get the pictiure! Through it all, though, I even came to embrace the quirks of my hair. Sure, it’s not always picture-perfect, but it’s uniquely mine. And let’s face it, life would be pretty boring without a little frizz to keep things interesting.

Now, let’s talk about those hilarious moments along the way. Ever been caught in a sudden rainstorm with a frizz-fighting hairstyle that didn’t quite live up to its name? Or how about the vision of glass hair swinging around with everything reflected like they show in adverts? Or you have an event to go to and you need the hair to go in a certain direction but all it does it refuses to budge along and do it’s own thing? And don’t get me started with my ends. Oh my ends! Dry as Sahara and me working hard looking for an oasis. Trust me, I’ve been there, and I’ve got the hair-raising stories to prove it.

But fear not, my friends, for amidst the trials and tribulations, I found a glimmer of hope: a few drops of hair oil post-shower. Yes, you heard that right. Turns out, the secret to taming my mane wasn’t in fancy treatments or elaborate concoctions, but in a humble bottle of oil. Who knew that?

Now I am not asking you to pour oil all over your hair. No. Wash your hair like you normally do. Make sure that all the water is squeezed out and you don’t enough have water in the hair to fill a sink. I am talking about wet hair but not soaking wet. Now here comes the trick. Take about 5 drops of hair oil in the palm of your hand. Now apply this oil on the hair. Make sure you get the ends and pay more attention to them as this is where dryness happens. Yes the ends are what lose the most oil when you wash the hair. So you are just sealing the hydration with some bit of oil, letting it soak in while you go about your tasks and then using your blow drying methods. If you are anyone like me, once may not be enough. You might have to add some more after a day and make sure the cuticles of your hair smooth down.

So, whether you’re battling frizz, experimenting with new hairstyles, or just trying to figure out how to pronounce “keratin,” remember this: haircare is a journey, not a destination. Embrace the frizz, laugh at the mishaps, and don’t forget to stock up on that trusty bottle of hair oil—it just might be your new best friend.

Until next time, keep smiling, keep styling, and keep rocking that fabulous hair of yours. Because when life gives you frizz, make frizz-ade!

Yours frizz-tastically, Gauri
